Botanical medicine is the study and use of plant parts (herbs, bark, seeds, roots, stems, etc.). used to treat and prevent disease. When using botanical medicine in practice, Dr. Paiano works closely with her patients to: identify the concern, establish therapeutic goals, identify therapeutic actions , prescribe commonly used botanicals, and identify possible drug-herb interactions.
The practice of acupuncture goes back to over 3000 years ago. It involves the insertion of thin needles into the skin at certain locations of the body that are thought to connect internal organs to the surface of the body. Dr. Paiano uses acupuncture in her practice for a myriad of patient concerns: IBS and digestive concerns, anxiety, chronic pain conditions, menstrual irregularities, migraines & headaches, cosmetic, and more.

Orthomolecular medicine involves the practice of disease treatment and prevention by supplementing with optimal amounts of substances that are natural to the body. Dr. Paiano works closely with her patients to correctly identify deficiencies and understand the root cause of disease to restore optimal health.
Physical medicine involves the use of orthopaedic testing and spinal assessments to identify functional disabilities. Dr. Paiano offers different treatment options such as spinal manipulations, trigger point release, and more to restore the body to an optimal, and functional state.
Dr. Paiano offers a variety of functional and diagnostic testing. This includes routine blood work and specialized panels, organic acid testing, hormone testing, food sensitivity testing, heavy metal testing, and more.
Dr. Paiano has successfully completed additional training and certification allowing her to write some prescriptions, and administer intramuscular injections.
